The College has a strong tradition of vocal talent. All students are encouraged to share their voices by joining the College choir. The choir regularly performs at College assemblies and at the end of year Showcase concert.
Students in the choir also regularly support the liturgical celebrations of the College, lending their voices to lead the Mary MacKillop Catholic College community in song.
The Allegretto Ensemble is a mixed instrumental ensemble for students, and staff, who already learn, or know how to play, an ensemble instrument.
The Ensemble currently includes violin, flute, guitar and cello. Students regularly provide music for school performances and liturgies.
The Music Lunchbox is an informal lunchtime club, where students can explore a range of instruments and collaborate with other students in small groups, such as forming bands. All students are welcome to attend.
Ukelele group is run during lunchtime every Monday. It’s for students who wish to be part of a team and learn to perform popular songs in a fun and laid-back environment. The group mainly consists of ukelele players, however also includes, and is not limited to, singers, keyboardists/pianists and percussionists. There is no experience required to join, as we teach everything you need to know!
